Rajec Valley is full of natural and cultural heritage. Foothills of Sulovké mountains is ideal for hiking. You can choose from a variety of trails and terrain that leads through the beautiful countryside with an uncountable number of species of foothill and mountain fauna and flora. We will be glad to lend you trekking bikes for your cyclo trip.

Golf

You can find nine championship golf courses with training areas approximately 12 minutes drive from Rajec town.

Skiing

about 10 km away Ski Center has 5 slopes of varying difficulty

Fačkovské sedlo
Kl´ak ski center is approximately 20km far from the hotel Skalka. It consists of 5 slopes for more advanced skiers

Čičmany
Ski Centre is 25km far from Rajecké Teplice with three slopes and six lifts

Vrátna dolina
well-known ski center is situated about 40 km from the hotel SKALKA

Bowling

There are 2 bowling tracks in the nearby Diplomat Hotel.

Swimming

In warmer months you can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool Laura which is only 200m far from the hotel Skalka. Approximately 15 minutes walk away there is the Hotel Diplomat **** and its thermal pool you can use during all year.
